Navigating Farm Liability for Agritourism Bus Tours: Ensuring Coverage and Compliance

We are a farmer support and education nonprofit, FARRMS. We are holding a bus tour of 3 farms in a week. We (the nonprofit) are talking to our insurance agent to make sure the event is covered under our liability policy. We believe we need to make sure the farms we are visiting also have liability insurance and are asking them to submit their declarations page to us as proof. However, at our pre-event orientation meeting one of the farms told the others that they have registered as an agritourism business with the state and the state provides a sign you can post claiming you’re not liable for injuries. One of the other farms said she doesn’t have liabiltiy insurance and is hoping she can print out this sign and call it good. Unfortunately the two of us on staff who have taken Guiding Resilience were not at this orientation. We have a week until the event. Any suggestions?
