Injuries on the farm

Hello! I would love some more information about how labor law handles employees who are hurt on the job. We know of a situation in Colorado where the employee was hurt on the job and is receiving benefits from the workers comp insurance, but I’m curious if labor law protects the worker from being let go if the injury is preventing them from returning to work for, say, a month, or even 2 months.
